Francisco Javier Rodriguez is a renowned Mexican footballer. His DOB is 20 October 1981. He is a striking defender playing for Liga MX club America and the Mexican national team. He is also known as Maza, his nickname. He was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Francisco Javier Rodríguez's Early Life    

He was born to Francisco Rodriguez and Maria Magdalena Pinedo. He started his career with Guadalajara for the first time in Apertura 2002 tournament. It was during Apertura 2006 that he helped in registering the winning title of second leg match against Toluca on 10 December 2006 with a score of 2-1. His role was indispensable and praiseworthy that bestowed Chivas with eleventh league Championship. He transferred to Dutch club PSV Eindhoven on 9 May 2008 for USD 1.8 million$. He was the second Mexican alongside Carlos Salcido in the squad.

During his debut season most of the times he was on the bench as a substitute player as Dirk Marcellis. He registered his first goal against Dutch giants with a mesmerizing 30 yard shot on 25 November 2008. He was also part of CONCACAF Gold Cup where he scored a single goal which was the only goal registered leading to loss over South Africa with a score of 1-2 on 8 July 2005. Later on, FIFA brought into the light the accidental ingestion of the banned substance through the food served during the pre-tournament training camp.

He also played against Chile in Carson, California in a friendly match. He was evoked by the coach Ricardo Lavolpe on 2 April 2006 to be the part of 2006 football world cup where he played against Portugal. His squad also participated in 2010 FIFA World cup held in South Africa.
