Four People Killed And Four Others Injured After A Dismantled Part Of Crane Fell Onto The Road From Above The Under-Construction Google Building

A construction crane above Seattle's under-construction Google building fell onto the road killing four people in Seattle, Washington. The victims included a nursing student and two ironworkers. The crane collapsed and fell off the building on Saturday, 27th April.

Four others were injured in the crash where three of them; a 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman and 4-month-old daughter were taken to Harborview Medical Center. None of them sustained life-threatening injuries.

A newly emerged video showed the moment the dismembered part of the crane crashing down onto the road where some cars were driving directly below.

A separate video captured the moments before the crane crashed where the crane can be seen swaying dangerously in the wind. 

The state Department of Labor and Industries is investigating the cause of the crash which was not known until Sunday morning. The National Weather Service reported a storm with powerful gusting winds that toppled the crane down.
