The former White House chief secretary Sean Spicer wants his share from Mellissa McCarthy’s Emmy. Spicer told The Blast that he deserves part of the award for her portrayal of him on Saturday Night Live.
McCarthy has won the Emmy for guest actress in a comedy series at the Creative Arts Awards Sunday, which primarily recognized her masterful Spicer impersonation on Saturday Night Live.
McCarthy justified the role of former secretary at the SNL. However, Spicer hasn’t always taken McCarthy’s parody as humor. He has sometimes criticized McCarthy’s performance as too meanwhile his language turned much sharper during the time of his resignation from the chief secretary in July.
McCarthy grabbed her first in the category and second overall Emmy at Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards after five nominations in the same category. She dedicated the award to all the SNL team.
McCarthy was not the only artist from the SNL team to grab the EMMY; Dave Chappelle also took the award for the best guest actor his home.
