Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Tom Bernthal. Sandberg, 50, and Bernthal got engaged after a mountain hike and picnic lunch at Vermejo Park Ranch on Saturday, 1st February.

Sandberg took to her Instagram on Monday, 3rd February, sharing her engagement news with her 562k followers. She wrote, "Engaged!!! @tom_bernthal, you are my everything. I could not love you more." Here is the post:

A source close to the couple told People,

They took a hike together on their very first date, so they recreated the moment and got engaged at the end of a long hike this past weekend.

Bernthal, 46, proposed to his girlfriend of around a year with a ring featuring five tiny hidden diamonds underneath the setting to represent each of their five children. Sandberg and the founder and CEO of Kelton Global, Bernthal have been dating since Spring last season. According to People, the pair were set up by Sandberg's former brother-in-law Rob Goldberg. 

A source told,

They just clicked right away and have been completely committed to each other since they met. The Sandberg/Goldberg and Bernthal families have become very close and are thrilled that both of them have found happiness.

She added,

Both Tom and Sheryl share a strong commitment to all the same things, especially family and philanthropy.

Sanders was married twice before. She was married to Brian Kraff from 1993 to 1994. After that, she married a former executive with Yahoo and CEO of SurveyMonkey, Dave Goldberg. The pair gave birth to a son and a daughter together. On May 1, 2015, Sandberg's husband Goldberg died unexpectedly after suffering from arrhythmia.

Meanwhile, Bernthal was previously in a relationship with Bobby Kotick. The pair dated for over three years before parting their ways.
