Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Wife Priscilla Name Their New-Born Daughter 'August'
Facebook CEO and Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla announce the birth of a baby girl. Naturally, they made the announcement on Facebook, they also announced that they are naming the new born girl 'August.'
As a part of the tradition they started with their first daughter Maxima's birth, Zuckerberg penned a letter to his new born daughter outlining the kind of world that they hope she grows up in, according to Ciara Phelan.
On the Facebook Post, Zuckerberg explained that they decided to write a letter to August just as they did for Maxima, their first-born. In the letter he posted online, the billionaire father said he hoped his daughter grows up in a world with better education, greater equality, and fewer diseases. He also said regardless of the negative news in the media, he and his wife are focusing on a better world for their daughter.
Zuckerberg wrote:
Even though headlines often focus on what's wrong, we still believe these positive trends will win out. We're optimists about your generation and the future.
In his letter, Zuckerberg asks his daughter to ''smell all the flowers'', he also hopes that their daughter can feel how much they love her even in her dreams.

Zuckerberg said how he hoped August's childhood would be magical, and how, Priscilla and himself would do everything possible to make sure the world is a better place for their daughter and all other children of the generation.
To Quote the Facebook CEO, he said:
Childhood is magical. You only get to be a child once, so don't spend it worrying too much about the future. You've got us for that, and we'll do everything we possibly can to make sure the world is a better place for you and all children in your generation.
Priscilla and husband Mark signed off the letter with the following:
August, we love you so much and we're so excited to go on this adventure with you. We wish you a life of joy, love and the same hope you give us.
The letter goes on to how that Zuckerberg is just like any regular father with concerns for his children.
