Double Murder Suicide: Florida Man Kills Wife And Son, 7 Before Killing Himself

A Florida man killed his wife and a 7-year-old son; and wounded an eight-year-old daughter before killing himself, ABC News reported.

The Miami-Dade police and Coast Guard officials reported that the 44-year-old Petty Officer First Cla s s John Presnar shot his wife Gretchen, 39 to death and shot their children on early Sunday morning, 16th December at their home in Miami.

After a preliminary investigation, police reported an argument between Presnar and his wife mounted and Gretchen's mother ran from the home before he opened fire. The first responders found the three dead bodies and a wounded girl inside the home.

The Coast Guard released a statement through after the revelation of the incident saying Presnar had been serving since 2001 as an electronics technician. The statement further said,

The Coast Guard is deeply saddened by this tragedy and our hearts go out to the family members.

Police are further investigating the murder case; The autopsies of the deceased have been carried out.
