Donald Trump's Top Economic Adviser Gary Cohn to Resign

After trump’s close aide, Hope Hicks, POTUS’ top economic adviser, Gary Cohn is set to resign from the White House.

Cohn has earlier served as the president of Goldman Sachs and has played a key role in helping the president settle his sweeping tax reforms.

In a statement released, Gary Cohn shared it was an honor to serve the country. Rumors, on the other hand, suggest that there have been conflicts between Donald Trump and Gary Cohn that led the departure of one of the finest aide of the white house.

The White House released a press statement stating the departure date of Gary Cohn has not been set but possibly he might leave within few weeks.

Gary Cohn was quoted saying:

It has been an honor to serve my country and enact pro-growth economic policies to benefit the American people, in particular, the pa s sage of historic tax reform

He further thanked the president for all the opportunities he gave Cohn and wished success to the administration.

I am grateful to the President for giving me this opportunity and wish him and the Administration great success in the future.

It was last summer when Cohn was likely to take a departure from the Trump administration after Trump’s multiple statements about the racial violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. Cohn who is Jewish then wrote a letter of resignation that he never submitted.
