Deborah Norville is an American television journalist and businesswomen, well known for her appearance as an anchor of Inside Edition.

Early life and education

Deborah Norville was born on 8 August 1958 in Dalton Georgia. Norville has also won her town's local Junior Miss contest. Norville graduated from the University of Georgia, receiving summa c u m in three years with a perfect 4.0-grade point average.
 
She was also named as a First Honor Graduate and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Additionally, she also holds Bachelors of Arts in Journalism degree. While she was at the University of Georgia, she served on the Main Court of the University's Student Judiciary.

Career 

Norville's career began with her television career when she was young and used to go to college. She also received an internship through Georgia Public Television. She worked on The Lawmakers.
 
Later she was spotted by an executive of WAGA-TV in Atlanta who offered her a summer internship. As Norville said was"The third day was short on reporters, and they told her to cover a news story."
 
Norville also joined WAGA-TV as a full-time after her graduation, as she was named as Weekend Anchor in October 1979. In the year 1982, Norville was hired as reporter and anchor by WMAQ-TV.
 
Later in 1987, Norville joined NBC News, she served as an anchor of NBC News at Sunrise, as the only solo female anchor of a network broadcast. Ratings on Sunrise increased up to 40% when Norville joined the program. 
 
In 1989, a doc u mentary in which Deborah appeared as a prime host, Bad Girls on violent teenaged girls, which was the events most watched show the week it aired, according to Nielsen ratings. 
 
In September 1989, Norville was named as the news anchor on Today. But, soon after, Today co-host Jane Pauley announced her desire to leave Today Show, as Norville named her successor and Pauley went on to host a primetime show. 
 
In 1990 Norville became the co-host of Today Show. She also won Emmy awards for her role in NBC coverage of the Democratic uprising in Romania, during her tenure day on Today. 
 
In May 1991, ABC Network announced that Norville would be hosting a prime time program broadcast from her homes in New York and Long Island. The Deborah Norville Show: From Her Home to Yours featured newsmaker interviews and listener calls. 
 
Later, Deborah returned to television in October 1992, at the time she joined CBS News as a correspondent. She reported for Street stories and 48 hours, which made her win her second Emmy award for coverage of Mississipi floods of 1994. 
 
Currently, Norville serves, on the company's compensation committee. 

Personal life

Deborah Norville is married. She married Karl Wellner on 12th December 1987. Her husband, Karl is a reputed Swedish businessman. Since the couple has married, they have three children together.
 
Besides this, Norville has not been involved in any affair; this is her only affair till now. The couple is still living a happy life with their kids. The family is living a celebrity life.
