He is the anchor of 'ABC World News Tonight with David Muir' and has recently replaced Diane Sawyer as the anchor of World News of ABC. He recently served as a fill-in anchor on the Live with Kelly & Ryan in the absence of regular host Ryan Seacrest.  

What is About his Religion? Is he Jewish or Roman Catholic? 

It can thus be said that his religious upbringing was Jewish and his ancestry is Jewish as well. Fluent in Spanish, French, and Arabic, Muir first worked as a journalist and anchor at WTVH Television whereby the coverage of 1995 assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin earned him popularity and fame.

The winner of multiple Academy Awards and Edward R. Murrow Awards was born on November 8, 1973, in Syracuse, New York to Jewish parents Pat Mills and Ronald Muir.

He grew up in Onondaga Hill with HIS sister Becky. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA degree in Journalism before which he studied in the Onondaga Junior-Senior High School and Park School of Communications. He also studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain.

He later joined WCVB Television and worked there from 2000 to 2003. He was based in Boston and was an anchor and reporter for the television. He obtained the Edward R. Murrow Award and the National Headliner Award along with the Associated Press honors when working there. That's what led ABC to hire him and he finally joined ABC News in August 2003.

David firstly anchored World News Now and then World News Saturday. From 2010 February, he was promoted and World News was renamed as "World News With David Muir". This new show then brought a huge rise in the ratings.

His coverage of the Hurricane Katrina, Israeli war with Hezbollah, Hamas coup, Chernobyl nuclear accident, BP oil spill, political revolution in Egypt, Somalia's Crippling Famine, 2012 U.S. Presidential election and his various interviews are what has made people like and respect him.
