David Armstrong-Jones and Serena Armstrong-Jones are no more together. Yes, David, who is also known as Viscount Linley and The 2nd Earl of Snowdon, recently announced that he is divorcing his wife who is also known as Countess of Snowdon.

The two are getting divorced after 26 years of marriage and this marks the second royal split announced in a week.

David, 58, is the first son of the late Princess Margaret and a nephew of Queen Elizabeth II. He announced the split on Monday, February 17, noting that the split was amicable.

A spokesperson for David said in a statement, "They shall be divorced."

He added,

They ask that the press respect their privacy and that of their family.

The couple tied the knot at St Margaret’s Church at London’s Westminster Abbey in October 1993. The two share two children; son Charles, 20, and daughter Margarita, 17, together.

The divorce news comes just a week after Buckingham Palace announced that Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn Phillips called it quits after 12 years of marriage. Peter is the eldest grandson of Elizabeth and the son of Princess Anne.
