English actor, Daniel Craig was nominated for the BAFTA Award for his debut as James Bond in 2006 movie, Casino Royale. He then went on to portray Bond in three more movies: Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, & Spectre.
Craig married to British actress, Rachel Weisz on 22nd June 2011. He also has a daughter, Ella Craig from his previous marriage with Fiona Loudon.
Early life and education
Daniel Craig was born as Daniel Wroughton Craig on 2nd March 1968 in Chester, Cheshire, England. He belongs to White ethnicity and holds an American nationality.
Craig is born to Carol Olivia, an art teacher, and Timothy John Wroughton Craig owned the pubs, ‘Ring o’ Bells’ and ‘Boot’s Inn’ in Chester England.
Academically a mediocre, Craig completed his formal education at several schools including Holy Trinity Primary School, Hilbre High School & later Calday Grange Grammar School where he briefly joined as a sixth form student.
Alongside completing his formal education, Craig trained himself in acting going for cla s ses at Everyman Theatre. At the age of sixteen, he moved to the London to train himself at National Youth Theatre.
Later on, in 1991, Craig graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama at Barbican. For three years, he earned his training by Royal Shakespeare Company.
Career
Daniel Craig started his career on a promising note making a debut with the coming-of-age drama, ‘The Power of One’ in 1992. The movie had him portray the role of an Afrikaner soldier.
Subsequently, Craig starred in various movies including, ‘Sharpe’s Eagle,' ‘Kiss and Tell,' ‘A Kid in King Arthur’s Court,' and so on. He made his TV debut with the series, ‘Zorro,' in 1993 which he starred in two episodes.
Despite launching himself well, Craig’s most significant breakthrough came in 1996 with the TV series, ‘Our Friends in the North.' The hugely successful TV series helped him earned a favorable image amongst the critics who lauded his acting abilities.
The year 1998 became his most successful year career-wise, almost all of his movie did well critically and commercially. The year kicked off with the release of the biopic, ‘Love is the Devil.' Though the movie opened with mixed reviews, it received him much critical acclaim for his artistic talent.
After the super successful stint at ‘Love is the Devil,' Craig starred in the next historical biopic ‘Elizabeth,' released in 1998. The film was widely commended for its superb rendition of the subject & perfect portrayal of the character of a monk.
Craig carried on his legacy of the successful movie with the release of the World War I saga, ‘The Trench.' The movie, a blockbuster that allowed him to showcase his talent as an actor. The other movie he starred for the year includes, ‘Hotel Splendide,' ‘Some Voices,' & ‘I Dreamed of Africa.'
Banking on his renewed journey to success, Craig gave a powerful performance in ‘The Mother,' which was followed by yet another power-packed performance in the violent crime thriller, ‘Layer Cake.' He then played the character of Joe in the movie, ‘Enduring Love.'
On November 14, 2006, Craig shut his skeptics & proved them abysmal with the release of the first Bond movie starring him. ‘Casino Royale’ became a blockbuster success garnering $594 million at the box office, the highest ever by a Bond film then.
Following the Bond film, Craig starred in a couple of other movies including ‘Infamous,' ‘The Golden Compa s s,' ‘The Invasion,' & ‘Flashbacks of a Fool.' In ‘Renaissance,' he gave voice-over for Barthélémy Karas character. But, none of the movies worked for him & duped dramatically.

Personal life
Daniel Craig married his girlfriend, a British actress Rachel Weisz who won British Independent Film Award for Best Actress. The pair had been friends for several years, & worked together on the movie Dream House.
Eventuality they began dating in December 2010 and tied the knot on 22 June 2011, in a private New York City ceremony, along with four guests in attendance, including Weisz's 5-year-old son and Craig's 18-year-old daughter.
Previously, Craig married the actress, Fiona Loudon in 1992 and also has a daughter, Ella Craig. However, the marriage ended in divorce after two years in 1994.
After splitting with Loudon, Craig was in a seven-year relationship with German actress, Heike Makatsch and ending in 2001. He subsequently dated film producer, Satsuki Mitchell from 2005 until 2010. Craig was also linked with two others British actress, Sienna Miller, and Kate Moss.
Craig participated in the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fundraising on 8th December 2009, raising $1,549,953 in 21st annual Gypsy of the Year competition, from six weeks of curtain appeals at their hit Broadway drama, A Steady Rain.
Craig is involved with some charities including S.A.F.E. Kenya, which uses street theatre to address social issues. He is also involved with the Opportunity Network, which provides access to education for low-income students in New York.
