CPN Maoist Chairman Prachanda's Only Son Prakash Dahal Died Of Heart Failure

CPN Maoist (center) Chairman and the former Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal aka Prachanda's only son Prakash Dahal has pa s sed away due to heart failure on Sunday morning at the Norvic International hospital.

Prakash, who was in his mid-thirties, was rushed to the Thapathali-based hospital in the early morning (4 am local), however, the hospital confirmed his heard had stopped functioning hours before he was admitted. The hospital officially declared his later in the morning, soon after his father and the party chairman Dahal arrived.

Meanwhile, Prachanda was scheduled to address an election meeting of the left alliance Sunday afternoon- flew to the capital in a helicopter as soon as he was informed about Prakash's critical condition.

Other Maoist leaders including Prakash's sister and Bharatpur Mayor Renu Dahal are also returning the capital following the sudden and tragic death.

Prakash had been working at the Secretariat of the CPN (MC) Chair, and was married to his two wives and had two children. Prakash's wife Bina Dahal is also contesting election for the Parliament from Kanchanpur district; which is going to be held on December 7.
