Freddie Hart, a well-known country singer notably famous for 1970's Easy Loving died on Saturday, 27th October. He was 91.

Freddie's longtime publicist, Scott Wikle announced his death on a late singer's Facebook page through a lengthy statement alongside his photo. He wrote,

Freddie Hart, known to millions of Country Music fans the world over as "Mr. Easy Lovin" pa s sed away Saturday, October 27th in Burbank Ca.

Hart was the winner of the Song of the Year by both the ACM and the CMA Awards in 1971. Subsequently, in the next year, Hart gained the accolade a second at the 1972 CMA Awards.

Born Frederick Segrest on December 21, 1926, in Loachapoka, Alabama, Freddie started learning guitar at five. By 15, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served the USA in World WarII.

After returning to America, he moved to the LA and started teaching in self-defense at the LA Police Academy. During the initial years of his career, he worked in the backing band for Lefty.

He later wrote songs for Carl Smith (Loose Talk), Porter Wagoner (Skid Row Joe), and Patsy Cline (Lovin In Vain).

Late musician Freddie is survived by his wife, Ginger, and sons Freddie Hart Jr., Andy Hart, Joe Hart, and Victor Hart.
