English comedian and actress Josephine Grace Brand aka Jo Brand has opened up about her past lives. Brand revealed that she was threatened with gang rape while she was studying in South London.

Brand revealed that she was confronted by three youths while being alone at night in South London. She was around 20 years old when she was visiting a friend in a high-rise in Camberwell.

Recalling the moment, Brand explained the moment claiming that she came down the stairs and the lift door was open where three guys were standing. One of them said, “We are going to rape you.”

Soon after, they started laughing, she nearly had a heart attack and just started running.

Sixty-one years old writer Brand claimed that she was too scared to reply when she was abused.

Brand said an audience at the Hay Festival in Hay-on-Wye that she created a series of put-downs to deal with flashers in a park or perverts on a train. She used the same techniques to deal with hecklers during her early days in the comedy career.
