Hearty condolence! Colton Haynes' sister Julie Haynes has died after a long battle with cancer, the Arrow star confirmed.

Haynes, 31, took to Instagram on Thursday, April 9, to confirm the death of his sister.

Alongside throwback photos of him with his sister, he wrote, "My beautiful sister Julie pa s sed away from a long battle with cancer."

I’m at a loss for words. My beautiful sister Julie pa s sed away from a long battle with Cancer. My heart hurts. Trying my hardest to focus on being grateful that she doesn’t have to suffer any longer & remembering all the incredible times we’ve had together...but I just feel absolutely gutted that our family can’t be together to hold one another during this crippling time. Haynes’ sister's death news comes two years after their mother, Dana Denise Mitchell, pa s sed away from advanced cirrhosis of the liver.

Later in May 2018, Haynes, who is openly gay, filed for divorce from his husband, Jeff Leatham. The two had got married at a Palm Springs hotel in October 2017.
