A college student, identified as Andrea Norton died after she fell 100 ft down while posing for a photo on Sunday, 14th April. Norton was hiking on a cla s s trip to the Ozarks, Arkansas.
Andrea Norton, 20, was with a group of Briar Cliff University students who walked to Hawksbill Crag in the Ozark National Forest, Arkansas as part of a cla s s activity.
The Newton County Sheriff, Glenn Wheeler reported the witnesses said Norton lost her footing as she tried to reposition herself for a photo and fell 100 ft down the cliff.
As per the statement from Newton County Sheriff Glenn Wheeler, his dispatch received a 911 call shortly after 9:30 am Saturday morning reporting a young lady had fallen off Hawksbill Crag.
As per her obituary,
Andrea developed a genuine love for the planet and devoted herself to making a major impact in the preservation. She never lost her rambunctious approach to achieving her goals.
