Early Life

Mayce Edward Christopher Webber III better known as Chris Webber was born on 1st March 1973 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Chris Webber holds an American nationality and falls on black ethnicity.

Education and Career

Chris went to Detroit Country Day School. He started playing basketball since his early age. During the school after Magic Johnson, Chris was the most recruited Michigan high school player. He led the school to three MHSAA State Championships. Later on, Chris attended the University of Michigan.

Chris Webber got selected by Orlando Magic with the first pick of the 1993 NBA draft. He made $176 million in the 15 years on NBA. In the first year, he won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, averaging 17.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

In 2005 February, along with Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley, Chris Webber was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. Chris only played 18 games out of during the 2006-07 season. Before the ending of contract, Chris left Philadelphia 76ers on 11th January 2007. In the same year on 16th January, he signed with Detroit Pistons. He said that he always wanted to play for the team.

After retiring Chris Webber become an analyst on NBA Gametime Live. During the season 2008-09 he guests analyst on the TNT’s Inside the NBA. Besides basketball, Chris said that he is working on a book. He is also in an investment company that represents the real estate, film projects and football and basketball players.

Personal life

Chris Webber’s first known affair was with a fashion model named Tyra Banks. He began dating her in 1992 and broke up in 1993 after five months of the affair. The reason behind their breakup is unknown. After that, he began dating an actress named Nia Long on 2nd February 1993. The couple dated for more than two years breaking up in 26th September 1995.

Chris then began dated a singer named Brandy on 13th November 1993. The couple dated for seven months and broke up on 26th June 1994. His fourth known affair was with a television personality named Ananda Lewis. They started dating in 1994 and after dating for 2 years the couple broke up in 1996.

In 1996 Chris Webber dated an actress named Tracee Ellis Ross and after dating for three they broke up in 2000. Currently, he is married to Erika Hubbard. Erika came to fame after marrying Chris. The couple has no child yet.

It was rumored that Chris had an extramarital affair with Laura Govan. The rumor says that they began dating in 2004 and after dating for three years they broke up in 2007.
