Baby on the way for Charlotte Church and Jonathan Powell! The Welsh singer-songwriter expecting their first child with her loving husband. This will be Church's third baby.
Church, 34, announced the baby news after a fan tweeted at her saying that she “missed a great night” at a relief show. The show was put on to raise money for Welsh valley flood victims.
In reply to the fan, she tweeted on Saturday, March 14, that she was absent on the show because she is pregnant.
Noting that she is taking all necessary precautions amid the coronavirus outbreak, she wrote,
Gutted to have missed it. I’m preggers so I’m airing [sic] on the side of caution in terms of virus. It looks like it was a great success. X.
The songstress' pregnancy comes nearly three years after the couple announced that they suffered a miscarriage. They lost their baby in 2017, just months before they got married.
In a Tweet on July 26, 2017, she wrote,
Charlotte and Jonny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family. We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace.
Church and Powell exchanged the vows in October 2017.
Church is already the mother of a son, Dexter, 11, and a daughter, Ruby, 12, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend, rugby player Gavin Henson.
