Actor And Magician Ricky Jay Dies At 72

  • Ricky Jay, the famous actor and magic magician died on Saturday, 24th November in Los Angeles.
  • The actor's manager, Simone announced his death on Saturday announcing he died of the natural causes.
  • Fellow actor Neil Patrick Harris paid tribute to the late actor on Twitter.

Master Magician, Ricky Jay, known for his roles in the television shows such as Boogie NightsDeadwood, and House of Games has died Saturday, 24th November in Los Angeles.

Jay's manager, Winston Simone announced his death on Saturday saying he died of natural causes. He also said,

He was one of a kind. We will never see the likes of him again.

Later, his attorney Stan Coleman also confirmed his death and his partner, Michael Weber, tributed Jay on Twitter saying "I am sorry to share that my remarkable friend."

How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris also paid tribute to the late actor on his Twitter writing "Master magician and historian Ricky Jay has pa s sed away."

Born in 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, Jay is known for his role in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies where he played the role of a cyber-terrorist to Pierce Brosnan's Bond.

In addition to being an actor and a magician, Jay also wrote and hosted his own television shows for CBS, BBC, and HBO. Later, he hosted the first doc u mentary mini-series on conjuring, The Story of Magic which he also narrated.
