Catfish host and executive producer Nev Schulman has been suspended by MTV after the producer was accused of sexual misconducts.

The Daily Beast reported that the 33-year-old TV presenter has been temporarily suspended and the production of the show also stopped temporarily.

Ayissha Morgan who was a Catfish castmember in 2015 posted a YouTube video on May 12 where she claimed Schulman sexually molested her during her time on the show.

In the video, Morgan, who is lesbian by her sexual orientation, referred Schulman under the pseudonym Jack used to come onto her and forced her to ''reevaluate'' her sexuality and have sex with him.

After the allegations, a spokesman for MTV said in a statement,

We take these allegations very seriously.

The spokesman added,

We're working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation, and we've put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.

Schulman denied all the allegations made against him in a statement through his publicist. The statement reads:

The behavior described in this video did not happen and I'm fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth.

The statement continued,

I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions-but these claims are false.

Nev Schulman is married to wife Laura Perlongo since 2017 and has a child, a daughter Cleo James, born on 21st October 2016.
