Carrie Brzezinski-Hsu is an American business executive who serves as the current Vice President of ESPN's in-house creative agency, ESPN CreativeWorks. She also manages the sales and marketing for ESPN The Magazine, espnW, and ESPN shows including SportsCenter

Graduate of the University of Michigan

Carrie Brzezinski-Hsu is a native of Michigan, USA, and attended the University of Michigan. She graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Literature, Science and the Arts with a major in organizational studies with a specialization in advertising and marketing.

While at Michigan University, Carrie helped launch TheMichiganDaily.com, a digital advertising outlet of the university's newspaper, The Michigan Daily. 

Career

After graduating from university, Carrie began her professional career as the campaign coordinator at AppleNet Inc. in New York. As the campaign coordinator, Carrie had a litany of jobs including quality control, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. She worked for the corporation for 5 months from June to October 2000. 

She left AppleNet to join the New York-based digital marketing firm, DoubleClick, as the junior account manager. She worked with the firm for five months until February 2001. 

Starting from March 2001, Carrie began working as the sales and marketing coordinator at the internationally-distributed American daily newspaper, USA Today. During her 26 months with the paper, she managed advertising for high-profile clientele including IBM, Sony, Intel, Canon, Zenith, and their respective agencies.

After leaving USA Today in April 2003, Carrie became the senior marketing manager for Hachette Filipacchi Media, a magazine publication wing of the French business conglomerate, Lagardère Group. She primarily managed the publication's HOME Magazine and Metropolitan HOME Magazine.

Carrie worked for close to three years with the international men's magazine, MAXIM, from April 2005 to March 2008 as the integrated marketing director. She managed the integrated marketing team to strategize and execute Maxim & Blender customized marketing programs across multi-platform brands like Maxim and Blender Magazines, Maxim and Blender.com, Maxim Mobile, Maxim Radio on Sirius FM, Moving Pictures DPI television division, Maxim and Blender signature events, and other Maxim-licensed products.     

Carrie joined ESPN in March 2008 as the senior director for ESPN's in-house creative agency, CreativeWorks. She oversaw the marketing team responsible for developing and deploying integrated programs across ESPN properties including ESPN News & Information shows including SportsCenter, First Take, PTI, and Around the HornESPN The Magazine, ESPN International, and espnW.       

In December 2013, Carrie was promoted to vice president and leads ESPN CreativeWorks & ESPN Multimedia Sponsorship Integration. She oversees a team of 85 individuals and 6 departments that is responsible for developing strategic marketing campaigns and custom advertiser integrations for top-level marketers like AT&T, Apple, Ford, GM, Nissan, Home Depot, Kellogg, Coors, Taco Bell, Beats by Dre, and YouTube TV.
