Carol Lynley is a former model as well as an actress, known for her acting in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Working as an active member in this industry since 1956, Lynley has appeared in several movies including Return to Peyton Place, Under the Yum Yum Tree, The Pleasure Seekers, Bunny Lake is Missing and The Cardinal.

 Lynley was nominated for Most Promising Newcomer of Golden Globe Award for her role in the controversial film, Blue Denim. Talking about her marital relation, she was previously married and has a daughter.

Early life and Career  

Carol Lynley was born on 13th February 1942 in Manhattan, New York, U.S. She belongs to mixed ethnicity Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English, & German and holds an American nationality.

Lynley began her career at a very young age, as a child model under the name Carolyn Lee. Then, she began to appear on the cover of Life magazine in 1957.

At the age of fifteen, Lynley began her acting career; appearing in the movies, Goodyear Television Playhouse in 1956. In the same year, Lynley appeared in the TV series including The Kaiser Aluminum Hour, The Alcoa Hour, & General Electric Theatre.  

In the year 1957, Lynley had roles in TV series, DuPont Show of the Month and Alfred Hitchc* * k Presents. She then was seen in both the Broadway stage & Hollywood screen versions of the controversial drama, Blue Denim in 1959.

Lynley’s breakthrough performances arose when she appeared in the pilot movies “Fantasy Island” and “Kolchak: The Night Stalker.” She also made a presence in the movie “A Light in the Forest” as Gramma Irene in 2003.

Moreover, Lynley had roles in various TV films such as The Big Valley, Mannix, Night Gallery, The Invaders, It Takes a Thief, Kojak, Hawaii Five-O, Hart to Hart & Charlie’s Angels.

Personal life

Carol Lynley is currently single. However, she was previously married to Michael Selsman, a publicist. They tied the knot on 30 December 1960.

The couple together had a daughter, Jill Victoria Selsman born in 1962. But, after being together for four years, they divorced in April 1964.

After that, Lynley dated actor Christopher Connelly in 1968. Moreover, she also had affairs with John G. Avildsen, Stuart Whitman, Red Buttons, Oliver Reed & James Earl Jones in the 1960s.
