Bruno Mars Sued over his own Throwback Photo that Garnered Millions of Likes on Instagram
News of Bruno Mars being sued by Catherine McGann is doing round all because of a throwback photo of Bruno Mars.
The photo garnered more than 1.2 million likes on Instagram and Catherine says she owns the copyright on the shot. In the black and white photo, Bruno is seen engaged with his musical toys.
Catherine McGann in an interview with some online media explained that she snapped the photo of Bruno in 1898 when Bruno was just 3 or 4 years old.
She also stated that she was shocked to see the picture of Bruno doing rounds in social media as she owns the copyright on the shot.
According to the doc u ments obtained by TMZ, Catherine marked that she posted the photo back in June on Bruno’s Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook account as a way back Wednesday which however garnered 1.2 million likes on Instagram.
Hence, the problem with the copyright issue violation made by Bruno as said may land him in court. Catherine has denied granting Bruno any permission to use her copyrighted work.
Therefore she is suing Bruno and his record label, Warner music for the violation and the profits they are making with the photo.
