British writer and illustrator Judith Kerr, who had wrote illustrated a number of enduring children’s books including The Tiger Who Came To Tea, has died at the age of 95.
As per Judith’s publisher HarperCollins, Judith died at her home on Wednesday, 22nd May, after following a short illness.

The much beloved and timeless cla s sic, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, has been sold more than five million copies since it was published for the first time in 1968.
Earlier this year, Channel 4 announced that it would air an animated adaptation of the book which tells the story of a tea-guzzling tiger, turns up unannounced and eats and drinks Sophie and her mother our of home.
Judith’s other works include the Mog the Cat series of books and When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit.
Judith, who dreamed up tiger to amuse her two children, started her publishing career in her 40s. Within less time, she became famous widely for her books.
Over a half-century career, Judith has published more than 30 books.
Her publisher at HarperCollins Children’s Books, Ann-Janine Murtagh claimed that it was greatest honor and privilege to know about publish Judith Kerr for over a decade.
Although Judith did not attend the ceremony, she was awarded as the illustrator of the year at the British Book Awards.
