Australian former football player and current North Melbourne development coach Brad Green has paid a heartbreaking tribute to late wife Anna, who died after suffering an eye injury.

The lifestyle blogger and mother of two children, Anna Green, died last week after suffering complications from surgery.

Thirty-eight years old Brad took his Instagram to reveal the sad news writing “Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end. It simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again. Rest easy my darling #x x x3boys. ”

On Tuesday, the family also released a statement to the media claiming that Anna died peacefully at the lunchtime on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest last week surrounded by her immediate family.

The family statement wrote:

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm the pa s sing of beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend Anna Green.

The statement also revealed that the family would like to thank the medical team at the intensive care unit of Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital for the service. They asked for privacy as the family is in an immense pain with their loss.

A spokeswoman for the hospital confirmed that Anna died at the facility on Monday.

Brad Green and Anna Green, who grew up together, started dating in 2002 after a chance meeting. After dating for a long time, the pair got married in 2013. The duo has two children; Oliver Green and Wilba Green.
