BBC Breakfast Presenter Louise Minchin Wins Women's Triathlon
Louise Minchin has won a triathlon on home turf. This is her first ever triathlon win, the BBC Breakfast presenter is the first female to complete the JLL Property Triathlon.
Mark Grayson, the director at global property consultants JLL, is Louise Minchin’s sister. He organized the annual sprint event. Grayson and Minchin have taken part together as relay team partner in previous years.
This year Minchin participated without her brother and won the individual women’s race making it to the finish line in 1 hour and 24 minutes. The BBC Breakfast presenter finished ahead of the Manchester Planning consultants Lichfields.
In celebration of her victory, Louise tweeted an inspiring photo of herself in which she is seen crossing the finishing line.

Defending champion, Danny Hope, from the Engineering consultancy Hydrock, retained his male winner’s cup in the men’s race. Hope completed the sprint distance in 1 hour and 6 minutes.
The sprint distance event is in its third year now and is open to anyone connected to or working in the property industry. Almost 850 triathletes took part in the race around MediaCityUK this year. The triathlon consisted of a 5km run, 18km bike ride and a 750-meter swim in Dock 9.
