Arlene Leanore Golonka is a very beautiful actor and a reputed personality. She came to recognition after playing Millie Hutchins on the television comedy, The Andy Griffith Show. She is also widely known for her role as Mile Swanson on an American television series, Mayberry R.F.D. 

She has been married Michael Longo from 1963 until 1967. Following her divorce from Larry Delaney, she married 1969. They divorced in 1977.

Golonka was born on January 23, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. She belongs to the white ethnicity and holds an American nationality. She is of Polish descent.

Golonka who started her acting career in her early teens moved to New York City for further studies after completing her education at the Prestigious Godman Theater in Chicago.

Golonka made her first major theater appearance through the production named The Night Circus with Ben Gazzara on November 17, 1958, at the Shubert Theater in New Haven, Connecticut. She later worked in other play Take Me Along with Jackie Gleason, Walter Pidgeon, and Robert Morse in 1959.

Golonka also worked in Neil Simon's first Broadway play, Blow Your Horn in February 1961. The show ran 677 performances until October 1962. She made her appearance on record, in a well-received comedy album called You Don't Have to Be Jewish in 1965.

Golonka later moved to Los Angeles to try her hand at television and appeared in television series that includes Car 54, Where Are You?, Get Smart, The Flying Nun, and The Andy Griffith Show.

In addition to her acting career, she has provided her voice to several animated cartoons and television series. She was regular on the animated cartoon, Speed Buggy, where she did the voice over for the character named "Debbie."

Golonka has also provided her voice in other animated series like The New Yogi Bear Show, Capitol Critters, Yogi's Treasure Hunt, and The New Scooby-Doo Movies. She also appeared in supporting roles in many films including Harvey Middleman, Welcome to Hard Times, Penelope, The Busy Body, The Elevator and Hang 'Em High.
