Allison Jenney was alleged to be engaged after she appeared with a large diamond ring on her left ring finger at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2017. The actress who wore Lorraine Schwartz diamond for the event later revealed that she wore it as an accessory, completely shutting off the engagement rumors.
The 58-year-old seven-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning actress has been in a romantic relationship with her young beau Philip Joncas, 38, since 2012. She wearing the ring had everyone thinking that Jocas proposed to her. Well, we now know that it's not true.
The Mom star and her production supervisor boyfriend made their relationship official after 2015 Emmy awards where she received the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy. They also displayed PDA before she went on stage to receive her award.
She cleared things about marriage in an interview with E! in 2015. So, we know that she is no hurry to tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend. She said,
'I don't believe in that institution.'
The following year also, the Allison and Joncas appeared in the Emmy awards together.
However, Joncas was not with Janney in 2017 Emmy awards where she was a presenter along with her Mom co-star Anna Faris.
Allison Janney Initially Dreamed of Being a Figure Skater
In her recent interview with E! News on the red carpet event at Screen Actors Guild Awards, the actress disclosed her surprising first pa s sion. When asked about her first dream, Janney replied that she wanted to be a figure skater.
She said:
"Um, I wasn't very good. Also, I was actually very graceful, but it's really an acrobatic sport. I'm six feet tall. I maybe could've been an ice dancer, but to hurl yourself around in the air, I could do maybe two double jumps, but that's it. You have to be compact and small. Sort of a gymnast, almost. It wasn't my thing, that's the short answer."
Janney, however, quit skating at the age of 17 but her role as LaVona Harding, the mother of Tonya Harding in I, Tonya has brought her close to her childhood dream.
