English professional wrestler and actor Adrian McCallum, better known by ring name Lionheart, has died at the age of 36.
On Wednesday, the Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) confirmed the devastating news via Twitter. They tweeted:
We are heartbroken to learn of the tragic death of ICW World Heavyweight Champion, Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum. Adrian was a mainstay of ICW and British professional wrestling. Most importantly, he was our friend. His pa s sing leaves a huge hole in the lives of those who knew him.
Europe’s one of the top professional wrestling academies, Glasgow Pro Wrestling Asylum, that Adrian coached at, also released a statement about his tragic death on Twitter.
We are heartbroken to learn of the tragic death of GPWA Coach Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum.
Most importantly, he was our friend.

Just hours after Adrian died, he shared a final tweet referencing a quote from Ricky Gervais’ Netflix comedy After Life. He, in the tweet, mentioned about the last meal, last flower, and last friend.

His death news comes just a couple of days after he was renamed ICW’s World Heavyweight Champion earning the title of Union of European Wrestling Alliances’ Heavyweight Champion.
The athlete celebrated the victory on his Instagram on Sunday and Monday where he posted two pictures of his new golden title belts. He captioned the photo writing The will of the strong will never be shaken by doubts of the weak…’ #Champion #WorldCla s s.
Adrian, who started his professional wrestling career in 2008, was three times Preston City Wrestling Heavyweight Champion and three times Scottish Heavyweight Champion.
Besides being champions for multiple times, he also won numerous titles like Danish Pro, Real Deal, Premiere British, and One Pro wrestling leagues.
Many other wrestling stars like Grado, Tom Aitken, William Regal, Cedric Alexander, and Ka s sius have expressed sincere condolences to the wrestler.
