Actress Celeste Yarnall Dies After A Long Battle With Ovarian Cancer

Actress Celeste Yarnall, who starred as a jungle goddess in Eve and worked opposite Elvis in Live a Little, Love a Little has died. She was 74.

Yarnall died on Sunday, October 7th at her home in Westlake Village, California. The official Star Trek website confirmed her death in a statement, where it was revealed that Yarnall had been battling ovarian cancer since 2014.

Her husband, Nazim Nazim, who is a British actor, told The Hollywood Reporter that she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November 2014 and had turned to a crowdsourcing site to help pay her medical expenses. Nazim said,

She was magnificent in everything she did. She was my beloved queen.

Yarnall had made her guest appearance in an episode "The Apple" of the 1967 Star Trek: The Original Series. In the episode, she played the role of Yeoman Landon who encountered with Walter Koenig's Pavel Chekov, however, it didn't last.

She also worked in the television series like The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, It Takes a Thief, Captain Nice, Land of the Giants, It Takes a Thief, Bonanza, and Mannix.

Her other film credits include The Nutty Professor, The Velvet Vampire, Ted & Alice, Scorpio, Bob & Carol and Under the Yum Yum Tree.

The funeral for the late actress Yarnall will be announced in the coming days. She is survived by her husband Nazim, daughter and a granddaughter.
