Actress Kym Marsh's Eldest Daughter Emilie Expecting Her First Child

English actress and former singer Kym Marsh is over the moon. The Coronation Street alum Marsh announced that she is going to become a grandmother at the age of 42.

Kym, who became a mother at 18, revealed that her eldest daughter, Emilie, 21, has been expecting her first child.

Speaking to OK Magazine, the Corrie actress said that she's looking forward to becoming a "young grandmother." She further said,

I've always looked forward to having grandchildren. Although I'm not relishing being called grandma so I've been researching alternative names.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Emilie was so overwhelmed to tell her father Dave Cunliffe that she was pregnant with her first child. She said,

I was shaking so much waiting for the result that I nearly fell off the toilet. When I saw it was positive I started crying my eyes out because I was so overwhelmed.

Emilie, 21, who auditioned for The Voice in 2015 said of her boyfriend as:

He's a lovely guy, really supportive and he's really excited about the baby arriving. I'm really lucky to have him.

Kym said that she hopes her experience as a young mother will help her daughter through her pregnancy. Kym also said she was along with Emilie while she took her pregnancy test.
