A.J. Burnett is a popular meteorologist and a weather producer best known for WCVB’s StormTeam 5, an affiliated TV station based in Boston Ma s sachusetts, U.S. Previously he worked as a substitute teacher at Beverly Public School.

Early Life

The artistic meteorologist was born in the United States of America. He holds an American nationality and belongs to White American ethnicity.

Career

In the year 1996, A.J. Burnett started his career in the field of journalism. Firstly, he worked as a Radio Broadcast Meteorologist. He worked there until the end of 1998 and further pursued his career as a freelance meteorologist at the WFXT FOX 25.

Additionally, Burnett served as a weather anchor for about eight years and changed weather content to the higher resolution. He also worked as a supporter and an advocator for Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH where he holds the position of Board of Directors.

Along with the WCBV meteorologists named Mike Wankum and Danielle Vollmar, Burnett went for holidays in 2016. The team members of the WCVB made a guest appearance where they discussed the weather change.

 In 2003, due to Tommy John surgery, Burnett was limited to four starts before missing the rest of the season. He further spent the postseason on the injured reserve list till the Marlins won the 2003 World Series opposite the Yankees. In the year 2004, he again returned back to the game and made 19 starts for the Marlins going with 7-6 and an ERA of 3.68.

In 2005 season, Carl Pavano, a former teammate wanted to test the market instead of taking whatever new contract the Marlins gave him. The professional player seemed to be pitching his best games of the season right around the trade deadline. Burnett who has a 2.11 ERA in 18 starts this season and will pitch in his first All-Star game. Additionally, he lost six consecutive decisions including four losses in the five starts with an ERA in that span of 5.93 during the Marlin’s failed wildcard chase in order to close out the season with a 12-12 record despite a 3.44 ERA.

A.J. Burnett is pretty uptight in sharing his personal information with the outer world but it is clear that he was married to Carrie. He lives on North Shore with his wife. The couple has two sons together named Ashton Burnett and A.J.Jr. Burnett.

In December 2010, there was a rumor that Burnett and his wife were divorcing but he denied the report. He was diagnosed with Gibert's syndrome a mild disorder where the liver doesn't process well. He is currently involved with Hearst Television and Burnett Media Group.
