A Mother Of Three Sets Herself On Fire Killing Twin Daughters And Burning Down The House Into Ashes

• Mau Dao, 47, a mother of three set herself on fire which later killed her twin daughters and burned her house into ashes.

A California mother of three and her 14-year-old twin daughters were killed in a fire in their home last weekend and now the authorities believe the woman, identified as Mau Dao, 47, set herself on fire, killing her twin children, Trinh and Tram Tran.

Her 11-year-old daughter survived the deadly blaze, police reported. They said the girl was outside the house which was engulfed in flames at around 2:45 am on Sunday.

A police officer patrolling the area first noticed the blazes and when he went to the house, the girl told him there were three other inside the home, but as the blazes were too consuming, he could do nothing.

When the firefighter arrived the scene, they brought the mother and two children out, however, one of the girls had already died at the scene. Another teen was taken to the hospital with her mother where they were pronounced dead shortly after.

Lee Horton, Vallejo Police Captain said in a statement on Thursday that the 11-year-old girl is with her father.

Earlier, police said they had been investigating the case as a homicide, and on Thursday, they said that the physical and the electronic evidence, and the victim's statements proved the mother of three set fire on herself inside the home.

The family members set up a GoFundMe page to raise fund for the three funerals. The page reported that their family dog Milo survived and was recently found.
