A 20-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Chased By An Police Officer In East London

A 20-year-young man has died after being chased by a police officer in London yesterday(22nd July). The officer smashed suspect on the floor after he tried to swallow an object in a nearby shop on Kingston Road in Hackney, say reports.

A newly emerged video obtained by the mail online shows the final moments of a suspect after he was wrestled down by the officer.

Meanwhile, the London police spokesperson said:

the man entered a shop in Kingsland Road, where he was seen to be trying to swallow an object.

He added,

the officer sought to prevent the man from harming himself, but he was then taken ill.

The officers provided first aid to the suspect before the London Ambulance Service arrived and took the man to an east London hospital where he was declared dead around an hour later.

The Independent Police Complaints COmmission is still investigating the incident where the post-mortem report is still to come.
