52-Year-Old Man Dies After He Fell Down The Stairs Following Attack In A Pub-Police Arrested 27-Year-Old On Suspicion Of Murder

A 52-year-old man identified as Perry Cardy died two days after he sustained a severe head injury after he fell down stairs following an attack in a pub.

Cardy was rushed to hospital after the a s sault at the Bittern pub in Southampton, Hampshire, at 9:50 pm on Friday.

He was pronounced dead Sunday, 21st April after he fell down a set of stairs outside the pub at the start of the bank holiday weekend. Police arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of murder whereas a 39-year-old man has been arrested on conspiracy to murder.

A force spokesman told,

Detectives from our Major Crime team are investigating after a man died today, Sunday, April 21, following an attack in a Southampton pub. Perry Cardy was a s saulted in the Bittern pub in Southampton, at around 9.50pm, Friday, April 19.

He continued,

The 52-year-old from Thornhill Park Road, the same road where the pub is located, was taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering from serious head injuries and sadly died this morning.
