2017 Emmy Nominations Officially Announced
The most awaited nominees for the 69th Annual Emmy Awards is officially announced. S.W.A.T star Shemar Moore, Veep actress Anna Chlumsky and Television Academy CEO Hayma Washington revealed the nominations today via live stream from Television Academy’s Wolf Theatre at the Saban Media Center in North Hollywood.
Let’s dig into what exactly is inside the nominations this year
This might be a bit of surprise for everyone but due to the absence of two Emmy juggernauts, ‘Game of Thrones' and 'Downtown Abbey', shows like “This is Us”, “The Crown”, “Stranger Things” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” could flourish this year.
Now what’s most surprising is that HBO kept its place at the top of the Emmy nominations tree with its robot themed, western series, Westworld bagging 22 nominations this year, which saw it tie with the other hit comedy show Saturday Night Live.
