A 14 Years Old Boy Was Killed In A Federal Way Apartment Shooting

A 14-year-old boy was killed in what could be an accidental shooting at an apartment complex in Federal Way, Washington. The Seattle Times reported police were looking to speak to another 14-year-old who was at the scene at the time of the shooting.

Officers were called to the 32000 block of 46th Place Southwest shortly after midnight Tuesday where they found the boy died from a gunshot wound.

Announced the boy's death in an email 

Kurt Schwan, the spokesman for the Federal Way Police Department, announced the boy's death in an email on Tuesday morning.

Schwan wrote another 14-year-old boy was aside from the victim when the shooting occurred, and the preliminary investigation suggested the shooting may have been an accident that resulted from mishandling the gun.

The apartment has been cooperating with the investigation

The spokesman also said other people in the apartment have been cooperating with the investigation while they seek the other 14-year-old.
