One Died And One Injured In A Road-Raged Shooting In Highway 70, Yuba County

  • One pa s senger killed and another injured after a road rage shooting on State Highway 70 in Yuba County.
  • Drivers heading to Sacramento from Chico in a gold Ford fired on the pa s sengers in a white sedan going in the same direction.
  • One pa s senger on the back seat of the sedan died and one in the front seat suffered a minor injury while the driver remained unharmed.
  • Investigators suspect all three pa s sengers in the gold Ford were armed and dangerous.

One man killed and another injured in a road rage shooting on State Highway 70 on Wednesday evening, Yuba County authorities reported.

The California Highway Patrol Valley Division confirmed the shooting occurred on southbound Highway 70 near Plumas Lake Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m.

Authorities further said a white sedan heading to Sacramento from Chico got into an altercation with a gold Ford Focus driving in the same direction.

CHP Valley Division took to its Twitter Wednesday evening asking the public to inform the authorities if the Gold Ford Focus spotted. In the short notice on Twitter, they also explained the pa s sengers inside the car. Here is the tweet:

Officials say the drivers of the vehicles got into a verbal altercation before the driver of the gold Focus pulled out his gun and started firing. Two pa s sengers in the white sedan were shot-one in the backseat died, and one in the front seat sustained a minor injury. The driver of the white car was not harmed.

Investigators have been searching for the gold Focus of unknown model year as they suspect all three people inside the car were armed and dangerous.
