'Touched by an Angel' Actress Della Reese Dies At 86
The Touch By an Angel actress and the gospel singer Della Reese has died at 86 at her home in California on Sunday, November 19, multiple sources confirmed.
The exact cause of her death has not been revealed yet. However, her manager Lynda Bensky said that Della had diabetes.

Downey, Reese's co-star on Touch By an Angel announced her death in a statement which reads:
She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and pastor, as well as an award-winning actress and singer. Through her life and work she touched and inspired the lives of millions of people
The statement continues,
She was a mother to me and I had the privilege of working with her side by side for so many years on ‘Touched by an Angel.’ I know heaven has a brand new angel this day. Della Reese will be forever in our hearts.
Della served the music and the film industry for around seven decades where she began her career directing the young people's choir in 1944. She had started singing from her age of six and shortly after she began performing in the public. She announced her retirement from performing in 2014.

Della had collected several awards in her seven-decades-long career, where she was honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame: 7060 Hollywood Boulevard in 1994.
The 6 July 1931-born actress and singer Della had been living with her husband Franklin Lett and their four children; Franklin, Deloreese, James, and Dominique.
