Television Star Barbara Corcoran's Brother Found Dead In The Dominican Republic

Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran's brother died in the Dominican Republic from an alleged heart attack back in April while vacationing in the Caribbean. A representative for Corcoran confirmed the news to NBA News on Wednesday.

John Corcoran, 64, who was one of the 10 siblings of Barbara, was with his longtime friend when he had a heart attack, reported the family. Though his death was mentioned to be mysterious in Wednesday's announcement, his daughter revealed they had all the answers they needed.

John's daughter Nichole Lande told People,

My father had a heart condition so his death didn’t come as a complete shock to us. Obviously, we didn’t expect him to die, and we are devastated. But it’s just a coincidence that it happened in the Dominican Republic like those other deaths.

Lande further said her father's death was unlike other mysterious deaths that recently occurred in some of the hotels in the Dominican Republic. She said,

They were staying at a private home. There was no minibar, no malfunctioning air conditioner, nothing like the other cases. So this isn't a mystery to us.

Previously, Barbara told TMZ, her brother's death could have a link to the death of other six Americans who died at resorts in Punta Cana. But Lande confirmed her father was staying at a different city that was over 150 miles away from Punta Cana.
