TMZ reported that Fernandez is expecting her second son through in-vitro-fertilization with Lontel Johnson, Little Women; Dallas season 2 co-star. The couple, who welcomed their first child together, aren't together from last year, however, Johnson is reportedly planning to be a part of their upcoming baby's life.

The couple welcomed their first son together on April 27, 2016. Before they welcomed their son, JJ, Fernandez said their baby experienced several health complications, including blood around his brain, and seizures. Still, the couple believed that their son would pull up after his birth, but JJ couldn't even hear and see.

He had been treated on a ventilator before the parents decided to take him out of the ventilator. She said,

We realized that he was living his life in fear.

She continued,

He would panic every time a nurse would come to change his diaper because he couldn’t hear or see them. Not to mention all the surgeries he had to undergo in that state of constant fear. It was heartbreaking for me to see him suffer.

But unfortunately, three months after his birth, JJ died in early August 2016. Then, Fernandez shared multiple family photos on Instagram grieving her son's loss.
