Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez got engaged to boyfriend Joe LoCicero. The 34-year-old actress confirmed to People that she has been engaged for a month.

Rodriguez had sparked her engagement rumor after she posted several photographs from her 34th birthday bash last week where a huge ring was clearly visible on her special finger.

Rodriguez told People,

I am [engaged]! He's the best. He's the f--best. We've been engaged for like a month-I've kept it a secret for a while.

The lovebirds started dating shortly after their first meeting on sets of Jane the Virgin. They took their relationship to the public after Christmas 2016 when they posted several photos from their Thailand vacation.

Rodriguez told People that she is still hesitant to talk too much about their relationship and engagement. She said,

I don't even really want to say it's happening. I just want to live! I think there's a huge blessing in the fact that people care. That's a beautiful thing, so that feels really good.

She further added,

But another part of me wants to keep a little something that's just mine, 'cause there's not too many things I have like that anymore.

In an interview with LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, Rodriguez told she and Locicero remained professional until six months after their first meet. She further said their relationship started when they crossed paths at the gym.
