Musician Carol Hall Dies At 82-Cause Of Death To Be Revealed

Carol Hall, best known for her composition and lyrics for the long-running Broadway hit The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas has died. She was 82.
Hall's longtime publicist Jessica Johnson announced the musician's death confirming Hall died on Thursday, 11th October surrounded by her husband and children at New York City home.
The publicist didn't reveal the exact cause of Hall's death, however, she was known to have been battling Logopenic Primary Progressive Aphasia, a rare form of dementia for around three years.
The Texas-native singer received the Drama Desk Awards for the music and lyrics of the 1978 hit Broadway series The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Besides, she also gained popularity for her work with actress Marlo Thomas. She composed multiple songs for Thomas' Emmy and Peabody-winning Free to Be...You and Me and its follow-ups.
Following the death of Hall was announced, Thomas took to her Twitter paying his tribute to the great musician's death. "With great sadness, I say goodbye to Carol" wrote Thomas.

The legendary musician Carol is survived by her husband Leonard Majzlin; and children Susannah Blinkoff and Daniel Blinkoff.
