Television Personality NeNe Leakes And Gregg Leakes Divorced In 2011 After 13 Years Of Marriage
NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes had their first encounter while NeNe was working as an exotic dancer at an Atlanta club.
They started dating in 1996 and eventually tied the knot in 1997 in Athens. They together welcomed a son Brentt Leakes on February 22, 1999.
The couple called it quit after 13 years of relationship in 2010, and NeNe filed for divorce against husband on April 29, 2010. After completing the fourth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, their divorce was finalized on September 29, 2011.
Soon after the separation, Gregg demanded $300,000 that he invested in NeNe. He said:
I put $300,000 of my own money for NeNe to become a housewife. Without that she wouldn’t be s*** … she’s going to give me every dime back of my $300,000 back.

Gregg wants his money back and NeNe wants to make sure that she’s protected from any hidden debts that he may have run-up.
Prior to their divorce, Nene also revealed that Gregg was not supportive of her. NeNe has a son, Bryson Rashard Bryant who was born in December 1989 from her previous relationship whereas Gregg has five children from a previous relationship.
NeNe Leakes Reunited And Remarried Husband Gregg Leakes
After two years of divorce, the couple again reunited in 2013 by the season 5 The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They got engaged in January 2013.
NeNe and Gregg exchanged the vows for the second time at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta on June 22, 2013. The ceremony was captured by Bravo in I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.
Gregg said at the time:
Fifteen years. We can’t just toss it. We still care for each other, right?
Their relationship has been better after their reunion and has been supportive of each other. The reality star was with her husband when he was hospitalized due to low heart rate and had a minor surgery test in 2017.
The couple currently resides in Duluth, Georgia.
