Gianluigi Buffon, also known as “Gigi” is a current Italian National Current Team's goalkeeper who as well as plays for Serie A club Juventus and captains the both team.his height is 6ft 3inches with perfect body weight. He is regarded as No.1 goalkeeper of all time. He is also famous for his terrific shot-stopping skill. Once being the most expensive goalkeeper for joining Juventus, he was also famed by being called the goalkeeper of the 21st century. He is currently looking forward to play FIFA World Cup 2014 being held in Brazil which is his fourth World Cup since playing as a goalkeeper in Itlay’s National Team and second after the historical victory of FIFA World Cup 2006.
Career and Salary
Buffon started his career as a midfielder at the age of 13 , before switching to goalkeeper with the youth system of Parma in 1991. Cameroon national team’s goalkeeper Thomas N’Kono who played World Cup 1990 held in ltaly was Buffon’s idol and inspiration to change the position to goalkeeper. With skill and success he then was sold to Juventus in 2001 for a record breaking transfer rate of a goalkeeper for 100 billion lire, (or €51,645,690) . For International Career he joined Nation Italy team in 1997 and appeared many International friendly as well as tournament series and as a captain leaded his team to win FIFA World Cup 2006. He has been playing for Italy National team and Juventus F.C until now.
Marriage, affairs and personal details
Buffon was the son of discus thrower , Maria stella and weightlifter, Adriano. His two sisters were volleyball players for Italian National Volleyball Team which shows he growed up into a Italian athletes family.
Being in a relationship with Czech model Alena Seredova since 2005 they finally got married in 2011 and have two Children, Louis Thomas(born 2007) and David Lee (born 2009) . Recently in May 2014 buffon announced to get divorce with his Spouse.

In his club career in Parma F.C. his team won UEFA Cup in 1998-99 , Coppa Italia in 1998-99 , Supercoppa Italiana in 1999 . Later playing with Juventus F.C. his team won Serie A in 2001-02 , 2002–03,2011–12, 2012–13 and 2013–14. Juventus F.C. also won Serie B in 2006-07 and Supercoppa Italiana in 2002 , 2003, 2012 and 2013 , and came up as runner-up in UEFA Champions League : 2002-2003.
As Italian National player, with his participation he captained his team to win FIFA World Cup 2006, Silver cup in UEFA European Football Championship in 2012 , Bronze Cup in FIFA confederations Cup in 2013, UEFA Under-21 European Championship in 1996 and Mediterranean Games in 1997.
He was also awarded by Bravo Award in 1999, as Best European Goalkeeper in 2003,UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in 2003 , FIFA 100 , Yashin Award in 2006 and 2006 FIFA World Cup in All-Star Team. He has alson been runner up for Ballon d'Or in 2006 , Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, and in 2012.He was also honored by IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007 and IFFHS Best goalkeeper of the decade: 2000–2010.
