Angie Lau is best known is Asian-Canadian journalist the lead anchor of the business news program of the Bloomberg television which is showcased in the morning.
Early Life and Education
Angie was born in Hong Kong and then moved to Toronto, Canada where she started studying. Through the school she studied in is yet unknown, it is known that she studied at the Ryerson University situated in Toronto and obtained a degree in journalism there.
Angie has made an impressive career in television fraternity with being an anchor with an experience of over 16 years. She is an award-winning anchor who has hosted several top personalities, business leaders and influential figures like Li and Fung Chairman, William Fung, Chairman of the Franklin Templeton Mark Mobius, Chief Secretary of Hong Kong’s Bloomberg Anson Change among much more.
She has also hosted several programs and has had done intensive interviews of fashion designer Sir Paul Smith and well as Mickey Drexler who is the CEO of J Crew.
Career
Before being indulged into the Hong Kong’s Bloomberg, she worked in the Chicago bureau. She covered business as well as market stories by obtaining information from the Chicago Board of Trade. She has also worked in the ABC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. She obtained the Excellence in Journalism Award for Investigative Reporting for her work there.
Angie is also a member of the AAJA, known as the Asian American Journalists Association and also coordinated the AAJA J-Camp. This program teaches the basics of journalism to aspiring students. She is also the board governor of the Foreign Correspondents' Club and is serving as the President of AAJA-Asia Chapter.
For her good work, Angie has been named as the lead anchor who will be anchoring and hosting her own show entitled First Up with Angie Lau. It has been re-launched from the previous program which used to be showcased on the morning time and was an award-winning program.
Personal Life
Angie’s personal life is a mystery to her fans as information about her marriage is not available. As far as news of the tabloids is concerned, she is a married woman but information about her wedding is not available.
