Lisa J. Ling is the name of an American journalist and writer who is best known for her role as a host of the television program called Our America with Lisa Ling on OWN : The Oprah Winfrey Network. Besides, she has also been the host for National Geographic Explorer, a reporter on Channel One News, former co-host of ABC’s the view program from 1999 till 2002. She has also been the special correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show and for the CNN. She has also been the host of the reality television show called The Job. She has been the popular host in the American television arena as she has hoisted several of the popular television programs so far.

Her father Dough is a Chinese immigrant during 1920s and her mother Mary Mei-yan is a Taiwanese immigrant. Her parents got divorced when she was seven and her sister Laura was four years old. She and her sister were raised by her father in Sacramento after her parents’ divorce. She has graduated from Del Campo High School and the University of Southern California.
