Ventura Born Kimberly Hunt Graduated From San Francisco State University

Kimberly Hunt was born in August 1961, in Ventura, California. She spent most of her early days in Ventura along with her family.

She completed graduation from San Francisco State University. She worked as a radio news reporter for KVON or KVYN during her college. 

Kimberly is of American nationality and white ethnicity. 

Career 

After completing her graduation, Kimberly went to work for ABC Network News as a researcher for Peter Jennings in San Francisco during the 1984 Democratic National Convention. At the close of the convention, she began working as an a s sociate producer for ABC's Monday Night Football.

Kimberly Hunt started her on-air television career from the CBS affiliate in Monterey in California. In the year 1987, she got relocated to San Diego for the ABC affiliate KGTV as an anchor. Along with Carol LeBeau, she con-anchored the evening newscasts for 15 years. In the US, she is the longest-running female anchor team.

In the year 2002 October Kimberly joined the KUSI News team. She anchored the 6 pm, 10 pm, and also 11 pm weeknight newscast for five years. She also hosted the weekend show named San Diego People. After that in 2008 January Hunt rejoined the 10 News team. Currently, she along with a co-anchors GTV's 5 pm, 7 pm, and also 11 pm weeknight newscast.

Awards And Achievements 

Kimberly Hunt has received four regional Emmy Awards For the Best Feature News Story, Best Journalistic Enterprise, Best Investigative News Story, and Best Evening Newscast. She won an Edward R. Murrow Award for her story Tracking the Mexican Mafia- Inside Donovan State Prison in 2011.

In addition, Kimberly also earned two industry honors including her report on Sex trafficking and for her coverage of Open Air Brothels in San Diego canyons.

Kimberly met Billy through her fellow worker named Virginia Cha for the first time while co-hosting the program. They were friends at the beginning and as time pa s sed they both fell in love with each other.

At first, Bill invited Kimberly to dinner and after that, they never stopped seeing each other and got married. The couple will celebrate their 27th anniversary in the coming June. The couple is living happily and there is no rumor about any complication in the couple's marital life.

Kimberly has a daughter named Savanna Smith with her husband. Her husband used to take care of their daughter while she was away for her job while their daughter.
