Perrie Edwards is a member of the British Girl band Little Mix. The girl group, created in 2011, also consists of members Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock as well as Jesy Nelson. Formed for the eight seasons of The X Factor, they won the competition and signed into the record label Syco Music. Perrie was born on 10th July 1993 in South Shields, the United Kingdom to parents Alexander Edwards and Deborah Duffy. She has two siblings; brother Jonnie Edwards and sister Caitlin Edwards. Her nationality is English and belongs to the Caucasian-white ethnicity.
Edwards was raised in South Shields, Tyne, and Wear. She then moved to Weymouth, Dorset with her family where she was enrolled in the Radipole Primary School. Edwards then moved back to South Shields and attended the St. Peter and Paul RC Primary School from where she graduated. She also attended the Mortimer Community College in her hometown and excelled in all the subjects she was enrolled in for five years. She was then transferred into the Newcastle College. She graduated from the college by receiving a BTEC degree in Performing Arts.
Before auditioning for the X Factor, Perrie was planning on pursuing a performing arts degree. She auditioned and gained a position on the 2011 edition of the X Factor. After releasing the debut album entitled DNA on 2012, November, Little Mix and Perrie became famous for their singing talents as the album topped at 5th position in eight countries. It also became number four on the US Billboard 200. Perrie has risen in fame and name owing to the great combination of a group Little Mix has formed and the subsequent success they have obtained through their musical endeavors.
Apart from being a prominent member of Little Mix, Perrie is also known best as the girlfriend of Zayn Malik. They met on the sets of X-Factor from which they both rose to fame. They fell in love and subsequently began dating Zayn Malik on March 2012. The affair was highly publicized and has been done so up until now. The couple got engaged in 2013 and after which there were widespread.
After a brief three year relationship, the couple believed that they were not good for each other and hence called off their engagement in August 2015. The split of the couple too was an extravagant affair which was covered by news tabloids on the internet. Perrie has been single since and has gone on to say that she break up with Zayn has affected her a lot.
After her breakup from the former One-Direction singer Malik, she dated few more guys including Joe Sugg, Leon King, Luke Pasqualino, and Alex Chamberlain.
