Lauren’s rise to fame came after she auditioned for the tenth season of American Idol and was the judge’s favorite from early on. She became the runner-up of the show on 25th May 2011. This led her to be signed in by Interscope Records, Mercury Nashville, and also the 19 Recordings.
After her finale in the American Idol season 10, she released the single Like My Mother Does which was entered into the Billboard Hot Country Songs at number 43.
